Metaphor for Life

This may seem trite and insignificant but it matters to me. Today I found out my two favorite stores are opening at Fashion Place Mall. I'm always traveling downtown and now I will have my four favorite stores within 10 minutes of my new place. What's that you ask? New place? Yes! After months of trying to find a place that fit my criteria, I found something today. Last August when I was trying to make some decisions and to move forward with life, figuring out where to move was on this list. One of the insights I received from the Lord was moving is good. Just wait a minute. That was difficult for me because I wanted to move right then. As I posted, I found ways to step back from my own wishes and trust in the Lord. I stopped looking. Last Saturday, I sent an email to a friend asking if she knew of any place. She did! I talked with the girl who owns the apartment during the week and stopped by today. I think this is going to work. And I'm excited for the change. I am grateful for the opportunity to grow, to move forward, and to trust in the Lord and His timing. Finding a place has required a great deal of faith. I'm taking a leap and hoping to land where the Lord needs me to be.
